Their connections to the community run deep. Demonstrating a commitment to lifelong
learning, Jamie returned to school in 2018, earning an associate degree from Trinity Valley
Community College (TVCC) in 2020, all while working full-time for Henderson County as a
Clerk. Jamie and her husband are proud members of Rope, Catch, and Ride Cowboy Church, the Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Cedar Creek Lake Parrot Head Club, among other local associations that reflect their strong community involvement.
Since her appointment, Judge Fawns has gained a comprehensive understanding of the
needs and expectations of the people she serves. She has developed a genuine passion for
her role as Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2. One of her first major challenges was to
address a significant backlog of cases—three years’ worth of work that needed to be

caught up.
Judge Fawns has also collaborated with the county attorney’s office and the Henderson
County Commissioners to establish a voucher program aimed at addressing public
nuisances. Her commitment extends beyond the courtroom, often working hands-on in the
community. She can be seen working alongside local youth, helping them fulfill their
community service requirements and fostering positive relationships.
Judge Fawns entered the position fully aware of the dedication and perseverance required.
She continues to work diligently every day, serving the residents of Precinct 2 and
Henderson County with unwavering compassion, fairness, and loyalty. Her approach to
justice centers on understanding the needs of her constituents and delivering equitable
outcomes for all.
