We’re removing the loneliness of single parenting! Every month, Single Mom Strong gives you 3-4 opportunities to connect with other local single mothers. One of those opportunities is our monthly Mother & Child event. This event allows single mothers and their children to spend quality time together, while getting to know other local single moms and their kids. Zoos, museums, sporting events and more are MORE FUN with the group, and we negotiate with organizations to ensure these events are affordable for all.
THIS MONTH we’re headed to Granite Arch Climbing Center! Moms and kids can climb together! Since 1996 Granite Arch has been serving the climbing community in the Sacramento region with some of the most realistic, indoor climbing walls imaginable. Whether you're a seasoned climber, or you've never climbed before, all levels are welcomed. For more information visit their website at: https://granitearch.com.
NOTE: Please meet at the entrance at 2:30pm. Look for a mom in a Single Mom Strong t-shirt and enter with the group. Your Eventbrite ticket may not be used for entry. You must enter with the group. Please be courteous and be on time- be sure to allow time for parking and walking to the entrance. Registrations will be forfeited for anyone who has not arrived by 2:35pm.
Site Guidlines: The recommended minimum age is 6 years old. Wear comfy clothes and closed toed shoes (pro tip: vans/converse style tennis shoes work the best!) Rental shoes are available for additional cost, if needed. Helmets are recommended but not required - if a parent wants their child to wear a helmet they must bring one, they do not offer rental helmets. Bike or ski helmets work great!
A completed waiver form is required for each guest, participant and observer regardless of age; this can be filled out pre-party on website (http://granitearch.com/waiver/), or in-person the day of the event. Having waivers completed online before your arrival will significantly increase the speed at which we can get started.
