SMS Empowerment Workshop: Healthy Relationships

Join us for the SMS Empowerment Workshop: Healthy Relationships. This workshop welcomes single moms, women, and teens ages 12+.

Relationships impact nearly every part of our lives, including our emotional well-being, communication, boundaries, parenting, confidence, and sense of safety. Yet many people were never taught how to recognize the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationship dynamics.

This workshop creates space for honest conversation, practical education, reflection, and skill-building focused on building healthier relationships in everyday life.

We are honored to welcome Madeline (Maddy) Ng, MA (she/her), Prevention & Education Manager at WEAVE, who will lead this interactive workshop on Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships.

For the first time, Single Mom Strong is welcoming teens ages 12+ to participate alongside their parent or caregiver, creating opportunities for shared learning and conversation across generations.

• Practical education about healthy vs. unhealthy relationship dynamics
• Tools for communication, boundaries, and emotional safety
• Interactive discussion in a supportive, judgment-free environment
• Opportunities for parents and teens to learn together
• Connection with a community that understands the realities of single motherhood
• Lunch will be provided for all registered participants

This workshop is designed to provide practical, real-world tools that support healthier relationships at home, in friendships, in dating relationships, and beyond.

⏰ Please arrive on time to allow for check-in, refreshments, and connection before the workshop begins.

• Teens ages 12 and older are welcome to attend the workshop alongside their parent or caregiver
• Childcare is available for younger children ages 2–11 (potty trained or training)
• Childcare pre-registration is required and space is limited

Single Mom Strong is a licensed childcare provider with an on-site classroom. Younger children will enjoy a fun and engaging experience while parents participate in the workshop.
