SMRRF 2027 – The UK’s Leading 3D Printing Festival Returns!

Now in its fourth and most exciting year, the Sanjay Mortimer RepRap Festival (SMRRF) returns to Manchester, and we cannot wait to welcome you!

Hosted by the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation (SMF) in partnership with PrintCity at Manchester Metropolitan University, our 2027 event takes place in MMU’s Science and Engineering building.

SMRRF is the UK’s leading 3D printing and STEM festival, a celebration of creativity, community, and innovation. Whether you are an industry pro, a hobbyist, or completely new to the world of 3D printing, you will find something to love. Expect buzzing exhibition tables, live demos, workshops, robotics, and the best of design and technology.

What to expect?

Full programme details will be announced soon, but you can count on the same incredible energy and creativity that made SMRRF 2026 unforgettable including STEM workshops, 3D Printing Innovation, Industry leaders, Content Creators, fundraisers and more.

Check out last year’s highlights: SMRRF 2026

  • Day 1: Sat, 6 March 2027: 10:00–17:30
  • Day 2: Sun, 7 March 2027: 10:00–16:00

IMPORTANT - Ticket Sales

SMRRF’s growing popularity is wonderful, but it did catch us slightly off guard in March 2026. Those who joined us on the Saturday will remember it became very overcrowded, and we unfortunately ran out of badges, programmes and lanyards for Sunday.

To ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone, tickets this year will need to be purchased in advance rather than on the door. This helps us better manage numbers, but does mean tickets will be limited, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Thank you for your understanding.

Interested in Exhibiting?

From Platinum sponsorships to display-only tables, we have packages for every level. Whether you want to showcase your latest build, run a demo, or simply be part of the action, email us at: [email protected].

Who is Sanjay Mortimer?

Sanjay Mortimer was the brilliant, endlessly curious co-founder of E3D and a true force within the 3D printing community who suffered with a learning difficulty but learnt how to make it his superpower. When he tragically passed in 2021, the community lost a visionary. Through the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation, his legacy lives on through all the young people we help, supporting the next generation of engineers, makers, and innovators.

Why It Matters?

Neurodivergent thinkers often bring extraordinary strengths, including creativity, innovation, and risk-taking, all vital to engineering and design. The SMF helps neurodiverse young people recognise their potential, build confidence, and pursue careers in engineering. We work with schools, universities, and makerspaces to find our SMF Stars, providing support through funding, mentorship, resources, and training.

Join Us

SMRRF 2027 is more than a festival, it is a celebration of possibility. Come be part of a community driven by curiosity, passion, and purpose.

All proceeds go directly to supporting neurodiverse young people pursuing pathways in STEM and engineering.

Note on ticket fees:
As you may know, Eventbrite applies a small booking fee to each ticket. This helps cover the administration and costs of hosting the event on their platform. As a small charity, we’re unfortunately not in a position to absorb these fees ourselves, so we kindly ask that they are covered at the point of purchase.

We know this isn’t ideal, but every pound raised goes directly towards supporting our charitable work, and we’re incredibly grateful for your understanding and support. Thank you for helping us make this event possible.
