Smoked Moose Hide Medicine Pouch Workshop
Join Mashkiki Studios for an afternoon of making, visiting, eating, and learning together. We’ll work with smoked moose hide to cut, stitch, color, and customize your own medicine pouch. Add fringe, keep it simple, or make it completely your own.
We’ll be gifting medicine for your new pouches, including cedar, tobacco, sage, and more. You’re also welcome to bring medicine from your own family or traditions.
We’ll share warm autumn squash soup made with Hidatsa squash grown in our teaching gardens at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, along with our Chokecherry Sunset Tea.

Our workshops continue to provide five scholarship spots because of the community that shows up and supports this work. Thank you for helping us keep these gatherings accessible to our relatives while also making them a viable and sustainable offering for our small business 🥹🫶🏾
