Smoke on the Bayou

Come join us on July 18th as the Historical Society of Bay County and Sonny’s BBQ of Lynn Haven present “Smoke on the Bayou”—Tasting Barbecue Traditions of the Gulf Coast. More than just a food give-away, Smoke on the Bayou is a participatory celebration of our Gulf Coast heritage — where visitors taste history, contribute memories, and become co‑authors of Bay County’s story. Attendees are encouraged to bring old family recipes, picnic and backyard cook-out photos to be scanned and published in a "Smoke on the Bayou" Compendium. Additionally, attendees will be provided an opportunity to share their family food stories so that their voices may be added to the story of Bay County.
