Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School - Open House Tours

Welcome to Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School's Open House Tours! Join us for an exciting opportunity to explore our campus and learn more about our programs. Our school is located at 80 Locust St, Northampton Ma where you can meet our dedicated staff, interact with current students, and see our facilities in person. Whether you're interested in agriculture, vocational trades, or any of our specialized programs, this event is perfect for prospective students and families. Come discover what makes Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School a unique and enriching educational experience!

Smith utilizes a pre-registration system for tour time slots. We offer 3 distinct tours that will not only showcase general school information but also allow potential students and their families the opportunity to visit the vocational programs that most interest them. Additionally, tours for Spanish-speaking families are being offered. Our academic programs, clubs, and athletics will be showcased in our cafeteria. Families can sign up for multiple tour clusters or you have the ability to attend one tour cluster and can still visit any other shops of interest.

Tour Choice #1 - Agriculture/Automotive(Agricultural Mechanics, Animal Science, Automotive, Collision Repair, Horticulture/Forestry)

Tour Choice #2 - Service Industry(Cosmetology, Public Saftey, Culinary, Graphic Design and Visual Communications, Health Assisting)

Tour Choice #3 - Construction/Manufacturing(Advanced Manufacturing, Cabinet Making, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing)

As part of the application process and to be entered into the lottery for acceptance, all students must complete an Awareness Event to learn about the school and the programs we offer. Attendance at this Open House Event satisfies the Awareness Event requirement. Students will be asked to confirm their attendance on the day of the Open House via a QR Code.

Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School is asking all visitors to their Annual Open House on November 1, 2026, to donate nonperishable food items.

SVAHS is setting up a temporary food bank at Smith as part of their efforts to alleviate food insecurity among SVAHS students and families.

This temporary food bank will be available for students to access through their school counselors.

Please consider donating nonperishable items on the following list:

Cereal/oatmeal

Canned vegetables/fruits

Pasta

Rice

Dried, canned prepared foods

Canned meats

Toiletries
