New date for Smile Soup - 25th JuneThank you to everyone who has shown an interest in our Smile Soup initiative - we’ve been blown away by the enthusiasm from the community.
We’ve had some feedback that people would like a little more time to prepare their ‘pitch’ for the event originally planned for 25 March, and we want to make sure everyone has the best chance to take part.
So, we’ve moved the event to 25 June, giving local people more time to get their ideas ready.
Think of it as Bridlington’s very own Dragons’ Den, with the chance to secure £500 for a project run by local people, for local people.
We can’t wait to see the brilliant ideas our community brings forward.
Here’s how it works:
Eat Soup – Pay £5 on the door and enjoy a bowl of soup and bread at Bridlington’s Crown Community Centre.
Pitch – Local charities, community groups and individuals pitch their ideas for brilliant local projects – and you get to ask the questions.
Vote – Everyone in the room votes for the idea they think should win the £500 micro‑grant.
If you’ve got an idea that could make a difference in Bridlington, we want to hear from you. Charities, community groups and individuals with bright ideas can apply for a pitching slot at the first Smile Soup event.
