Please join us for our OPEN WEEKEND 2026 at Southport Model Engineering Club
Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June
10:00-16:00 both days for visiting loco owners
Public rides, games with prizes will run 11:00-15:00 on both days
Visiting locomotive information: Visitors will have use of our facilities which include 5", 3 1/2", 2 1/2", Gauge 1 and 32mm tracks, as well as hydraulic lifting table, steaming bays, passenger trucks etc. Our members will be available to help visitors at all times.
All visiting locomotive owners must SIGN IN on arrival, complete necessary paperwork, and present boiler and insurance certificates BEFORE entering the track area - this is for everyone's safety - thank you.
All trucks must be connected to locos with a solid bar, no loose chains, all couplings must be retained, maximum 2 trucks per engine. Again - members will be on hand to support with this.
Light refreshments will be available to purchase both days for visiting drivers, as well as a BBQ on Saturday from 16:30. Sorry, we are unable to sell refreshments to members of the public.
