In the beginning was the Word…At first glance, John’s Gospel is made for children’s ministry because of its many concrete images: vine, shepherd, bread, water. But you don’t have to scratch the surface very far before you find deep, complex and immeasurably rich ideas that can be tougher to explain to young ears: being born again, feeding on Jesus, remaining in him (to name just a few!).
John’s Gospel is full of simple language and big concepts. So how do we take the rich delights of John’s Gospel and explain them well to our kids – that they may believe?
Join us for the SMBC 2025 Children’s Ministry Conference, where we will be looking deeply and practically into the Gospel of John, along with other key issues in ministry with children and their families.
