Smashing Clays So K9 Stays aims to help cover the costs that are associated with the K9 Unit including:* Provide assistance for wellness for our K9s Sam and Fenix.
*Maintain and upgrade training equipment, protective gear, and vehicle modifications to ensure readiness and safety for both dogs and handlers.
*Support ongoing training and certification for handlers to maintain state and national standards.
*Assist with community outreach efforts, including public demonstrations, school programs, and safety education events.
*Plan for the future addition of a therapy dog, which will provide emotional support to staff, inmates, and the community.
*Prepare for Sam’s future retirement and the acquisition and training of his replacement patrol K9 to ensure uninterrupted coverage and continued service.
The event will consist of a High School Invitational, 100-Bird shoot open to the public, live auction, food & beverages, and plenty of time to mingle with law enforcement and K9 deputies that protect our community every day.
