Just twice a year these unique Smalti Workshops are held. Beate Linckelmann from Mosaic Bazaar and Smalti Australia and I team up to offer this fun, creative, colourful and informative day where students new to Smalti will learn all the basics fundamentals of creating a Smalti Mosaic.Students will create a mosaic wall hanging with a feature centre piece of Agate. Smalti will be available to purchase on the day as you create your piece. Beate will have beautiful Smalti from Italy and Mexico available to buy.
You will learn about the types of Smalti, the history, the production process and how to cut Smalti, and proceed to create your mosaic.
Limited numbers, always books out very fast!
Cost $150 plus your Smalti purchases on the day.
A non refundable deposit of $50 is payable upon booking. Your place is not secure until this deposit is paid.
Balance paid on the day of workshop.
Held at Aldinga Community Shed at Aldinga Community Centre, Butterworth Rd, Aldinga Beach SA.
What to bring:
A small palette knife
Twin wheel glass cutters
Tweezers (dental type if possible)
An old hand towel to rest your substrate on.
A notebook (optional)
Your lunch.
Tea, Coffee etc supplied.
