Come and see "Small Town Love" an exhibit held at the Lincoln Cultural Center the full Month of September 2026 This exhibit is Cambrie Lloyd's first Solo show in the quaint town where she grew up. Showcasing her hometown of Lincolnton and the small towns surrounding where she visited often. "Small Town Love" is a show focusing on small community and the local history of Lincoln, Catawba, and Gaston County.
There's a peaceful beauty in small communities. A warmth that comes from meeting people on the streets as they stop to ask about your family and genuinely care when they ask "how are you today", and you can' t help but to love on their leashed puppies out for a stroll. There's a joy that follows when the local batista knows your order or walking into your favorite restaurants and stores and being welcomed by name. A sense of pride entering into your local bakery and knowing the creme horns are fresh and the cupcake and cookies are perfect. There's an excitement seeing small family business thrive because of the communities support. There's nothing quite like inviting your friends and family to join you in Sunday worship and knowing they will be welcomed with open arms.
Small towns may not be for everyone, but I think everyone has to agree that there's a quaint love in small town.
