Small Expressions is the Handweavers Guild of America's annual juried exhibition celebrating contemporary small-scale fiber art. Entries do not exceed 15 inches in any direction and were completed within the last two years. Artists work across traditional and nontraditional materials—weaving, basketry, bead weaving, embroidery, felting, and mixed media—bringing intricacy, intimacy, and visual impact to an intentionally compact scale. The exhibition aims to broaden appreciation for fiber art and to create exhibition opportunities for artists working in this medium.
