Join us for one of the biggest shopping days of the year! Saturday, November 29th is Small Business Saturday, a time to support community and shopping local. Zenith Bookstore will celebrate all day, 10-7 pm, with authors, hot chocolate & cookies, and Advanced Reader Copy giveaways. Plus, we will donate 10% of our sales to the Interfaith Committee for Migrant Justice. You will also be able to check out our Holiday Catalog and get the perfect gifts for everyone on your list. Tashia Hart is a writer and artist from the Red Lake Nation. Her literary works include the contemporary romance Native Love Jams; The Good Berry Cookbook: Harvesting and Cooking Wild Rice and Other Wild Foods; and the middle-grade illustrated book Gidjie and the Wolves. Girl Unreserved is a fictionalized retelling of her own coming of age tale – recently updated and re-released. Tashia lives in Duluth where she is currently finishing a manuscript and gardening with her three-year-old son.
Jay Martel is the pen name of husband and wife writing team Andy Bennett and Katy Helbacka. They’ve spent the past twenty years collaborating on everything from theatrical productions to escape rooms to their son, Theo. They live in northern Minnesota where the winters are cold, long, and the perfect excuse to stay inside and write novels together. Codebreaker is an original, interactive thriller which follows a brilliant teenage girl as she races across D.C. to decode the clues her father left behind, which may just be the key to saving the country from a devastating tragedy.

In her new children's book Snowshoe Kate and the Hospital Built for Pennies, Preus and illustrator Jaime Zollars shed light on a trailblazing doctor known as the “Angel on Snowshoes." This biography celebrates a woman who defied gender expectations and dedicated her life to helping the farthest reaches of her community.
