This months special guest is Lauren Chown and April Mills from the newly opened Bloom Ultrasound

Lauren Chown and April Mills are the Co-Founders of Bloom Ultrasound, a family-focused private ultrasound clinic based in Paignton. Both young mums, they were driven by a shared desire to create a values-led healthcare business that puts compassion, accessibility, and patient experience at its heart.

After experiencing personal health challenges, Lauren channelled her resilience into building Bloom Ultrasound and, alongside April, chose to step away from the NHS to embrace the strength in doing things differently and creating care on their own terms.

Supported by the Torbay Enterprise Grant, Bloom Ultrasound achieved CQC registration and successfully launched in Torbay in January. Together, Lauren and April are passionate about supporting women, empowering families, and showing other entrepreneurs, particularly parents, that it is possible to build something meaningful and impactful from adversity and from choosing a different path.
