For entrepreneurs looking to establish a physical storefront, we are excited to discuss the necessary steps to open a brick and mortar space! Furthermore, you'll have the opporunity to hear from local business owners (from HERE and DCP Consulting & Training) and agencies (UCEDC and Plainfield Special Improvement District) that support small businesses end to end from "seeds" to "storefronts".

Attending the event provides the opporotunity to receive a $500.00 forgiveable loan from the UCEDC. Join us for a meaningful discussion around opening your first storefront, especially if the location you're considering is Downtown Plainfield, NJ.

Criteria for Forgivable Loan:

• Interested in opening a storefront in Plainfield/Union County or have an existing storefront in Plainfield/Union County
• Attend one (1) SmallBOOST Camp session @ from HERE
• Attend one (1) UCEDC mentoring or educational session

• Who can apply for a $500.00 forgivable loan after attending the session? Anyone with a business address or household address based within Union County.
• How do I apply for the forgivable loan? What information is required to apply? There will be a link provided after the criteria is fulfilled. The form will require you to provide basic information about yourself and your business.
• What is the timeframe from applying to the loan and receiving the loan? You should receive the loan within 3-5 business days.
• How long does it take for the loan to be forgiven? Your loan will automatically be forgiven over a 6-month period.
• Will there be a hard credit check or minimum credit score requirement? There is no hard credit check or minimum credit score requirement.
• Why wouldn't I be granted a forgivable loan? If the criteria is not met, you would not be granted the forgiven loan.
• Under what conditions would I have to pay the loan back? You would not be provided the forgivable loan if the criteria is not met.
