Small Altars: Pocket Altar Making Workshop

Small Altars is an autoethnographic examination of family, grief, rituals, and faith. Drawing from Gaston Bachelard’s Poetics of Space, the exhibition weaves together site-specific installation and photography to examine the intricate interplay between space and memory. Small Altars positions the domestic as spiritual, where grief and devotion transform the quotidian into ritualistic practices, and the home into an altar.
