Rare CS evening gig event.Delighted we could nail down S&TFD, having planned them to feature in our first gig over a year ago.
Self described as London's premier neo-jazz wrecking crew, they are one of the most vital bands on the DIY underground scene.
Their live shows, played in the round, can lurch from spiritual cool to noise rock abandonment, hypnotic polyrhythms and psyche riffs.
Vipertime and Moron Butler reach us as part of their mini tour.
The former, from Leeds, blend a ferocious, moshable mix of post-punk, spiritual jazz and motorik-afro beats. Two drummers? Let's go!
Moron Butler shouldn't need an introduction by now. Forceful heartfelt poetic words backed by catchy, repititious tunes. Like the Fall from parallel universe.
They'll probably be mixing things up a bit together.
(Venue is the the old Moor Beer Vaults, that has new owners, and no connection to the previous one's vile opinions!)
