SLOW STITCHING with Artist Nicole Plymesser Nelson

Slow down. Pick up a needle. Let your creativity take over.
Join artist Nicole Plymesser Nelson for a relaxing, hands-on day exploring the beautiful and increasingly popular art of slow stitching. This workshop is an invitation to step away from the hurry of everyday life and enjoy the simple pleasure of creating something by hand.
Slow stitching is about the process rather than perfection. Using layers of fabric, thread, simple embroidery stitches, hand stitching, and embellishment, you'll learn how ordinary pieces of cloth can become a small work of art.
You don't need to know how to sew, embroider, quilt, or draw. Beginners are completely welcome! If you already love needlework, you'll have plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop your own style.
EVERY STUDENT RECEIVES A BASIC SLOW-STITCHING TOOLKIT
Your class fee includes a starter kit containing the basic supplies you'll need to continue stitching at home. Students are also welcome to bring favorite fabric scraps, buttons, ribbons, embroidery threads, or other small treasures from home to incorporate into their work.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
This class is designed for all skill levels. Whether you've never held an embroidery needle or you've been stitching for years, you'll have the freedom to work at your own pace and create something uniquely yours.
Come for the creativity.
Stay for the calm.
Leave with a new skill—and a piece of art made by your own hands.
CLASS FEE: $95
Includes five hours of instruction, all basic class materials, and your personal slow-stitching toolkit.
Space is limited to 20 participants. Registration is required.
