Special this month: a pre-dance lesson (7-8pm) with awesome slow dancers Elaine and Stefan from Seattle!
Learn how to dance comfortably to slower tempos, 110 BPM and below, using Lindy Hop and Ballroomin'. This class will explore close embrace, counterbalance, and techniques for stretching and filling out the beat. $10 for the 1-hour class. This class is intended for anyone with some dance experience, Lindy Hop, Fusion, Blues, West Coast. Class is from 7-8pm before the dance.
Then join Sean Krazit and his Juniper Jazz Band for a full evening of slow jazz music and dancing (50-120bpm)!
Ballads, blues, groovy tunes, and everything sloooow.
Band plays 8-11pm.
$20-30 sliding scale.
