Join us on a tasty stroll through Decatur to celebrate several restaurant and farm awardees of the 2025 Snail of Approval program!
About this Event

Join Slow Food Atlanta on Monday, October 27th, for our second annual Snail Trail stroll in celebration of several awardees of the 2025 Snail of Approval and the camaraderie between farmers, chefs, and concious eaters. The evening will consist of a six course progressive menu, cocktails and storytelling from Decatur restaurants Kimball House, The Deer and The Dove, and Leon's. The dinner will also feature produce and ingredients from farm awardees Patchwork City Farms, Kaluna Farm Retreat, and Ellijay Mushrooms.

All proceeds from this event support Slow Food Atlanta’s Snail of Approval program, Snail of Support grantmaking program and Slow Food initiatives that support good, clean, and fair food for all.

Leek Lover (Slow Food members only) - $90

  • Progressive dinner ticket

Fennel Fan (non-members) - $135

  • Progressive dinner ticket

Broccoli Boss (non-members) - $160

  • Progressive dinner ticket
  • One annual Slow Food Atlanta membership ($60 value)

Chanterelle Trailblazer +1 (members and non-members) - $90

  • Sponsor a ticket for a farmer/food advocate. Slow Food will award the tickets based on availability.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

What is a progressive dinner?

A dining experience where each course is served at a different location. Guests move from one venue to another—often starting with appetizers, followed by soup or salad, the main course, and finishing with dessert. This social event encourages mingling and exploring various culinary styles.

Where and when will this take place?

We’ll begin at Kimball House at 6pm and walk to the other locations. The entire route is 0.9 miles. If you’re able, walking with the group is encouraged though not required. Restaurants are 5 minutes from each other.

What happens if it rains?

This event is happening rain or shine. You may want to bring a raincoat or umbrella for the walk.

Parking?

Street parking is available in the Arlo Parking Deck on Trinity Ave as well as along East Howard. There is also metered parking available on adjoining streets around Decatur.

Use of ride shares and public transportation is recommended.

Dietary restrictions?

Please email [email protected] with a note about your dietary restrictions. Please include your full name and cell number. We will confirm receipt and inform the chefs.

Refunds?

This event is Slow Food Atlanta’s signature fundraiser. Proceeds raised will support Slow Food programming. Unfortunately, no refunds will be made.

Kids?

Adults only.

What should I wear?

Comfortable shoes for city walking!
