About this Event
The Inspiration
Embroidery is the art of storytelling on fabric. It is a slow and thoughtful craft that allows you to transform any surface using just a needle and thread. This workshop is an open invitation to explore the basics of hand embellishment in a relaxed and supportive environment. We start at the very beginning and no previous experience is required to join us at the atelier.
The Craft
Marie Louise will introduce you to the essential materials of the craft. She will explain how to use different embroidery frames and needles while guiding you through the various types of threads, beads, and pearls she recommends. Once you understand the tools, the group will start a project together. Marie Louise will provide individual assistance throughout the session, helping you find your stitch and your own creative flow.
The Outcome
You will leave the atelier with a project that is already underway and a clear plan to complete it at home. You will walk away not only with the technical basics but also with the inspired energy to see your own wardrobe as a canvas for your creativity.
