Slow Coaching for writers: monthly group mentoring with Beverley Ward
About this Event
A two hour monthly group session with creative coach, Beverley Ward.
Sometimes it feels like we’re being pressured to optimise every moment for productivity. WIth new tools coming online all the time we’re encouraged to work faster, harder and to produce more work but at what cost? If AI can now write, edit and publish books quicker than we can have ideas, we might even be left questioning what our role as writers will be in the future.
In this group, author and coach, Beverley Ward, will support your writing journey with the tools and approaches she has personally used to boost creativity and wellbeing, to stay grounded and to still get the words on paper and out into the world without risking burnout. Join Beverley to write, create and talk about how we might use our writing and creativity to exist and resist in a changing world.
This new group is for anyone who has ideas and writing projects on the go who would benefit from the support of a group and a coach. We’ll consider how we might use a variety of tools and practices from a range of disciplines including free writing, art, coaching models, meditation and somatic practices to unplug, unblock and create. We’ll spend time thinking about the how, what, why and where of our writing with a recognition that by focusing on the slow, human process of creation we enjoy the benefits of the journey on the way to our own personal writing destination.
A thoroughly analog antidote to an anxiety-inducing AI world.
The founder of The Writers Workshop, Beverley is a trained life coach and award-winning writer with thirty years experience of facilitating writing. She's the author of four books and writes in a wide-range of genres.
