What: Slingshot Showdown 2025 in Galveston during the Lone Star RallyWhen: November 8th, 2025.
Where: Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack - 310 Texas Ave, Kemah, TX 77565
As we have done every year during the Lone Star Rally. We will bring all the Slingshots together for what is known for past 9+ years, the “Slingshot Showdown” We have secured us a location in Kemah, TX at Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack. This will be our hub for competitions. Once the competitions are complete we will group ride to the Lone Star Rally. We will add more updates in next few days. We are raising funds for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation Team Slingin' for a Cure.

Slingshot Competition Details
Clarity Competition - $25.00 to compete in Clarity Competition 1st Round 90 Second Acapella, 2nd Round 90 Second Instrumental
Lighting competition (Free, Everyone turn on your lighting at sunset) will have 1 Champion - Be ready to shine bright!! -We will select the finalists and do the final match of the lighting competition.
Audio Competition - We will have 5 classes as listed below with 1 Champion for each class. $50 to compete.
This is a 2025 Scorecard Event and 2026 Standings Event.
• Featherweight: ( 8 ) Speakers up to 6.5″ Mids & (1)-10″ Subwoofer.
• Lightweight ( 8 ) Speakers up to 8″ Mids & (2)-10″ Subwoofers.
• Welterweight (10) Speakers up to 10″ Mids up to (2)-12″ Subwoofers
• Middleweight (18) Speakers up 12″ Mids up to (2)-13.5″ Subwoofers
• Heavyweight: Any Speakers/ Subwoofer(s) (no size limits)
No Trailer Allowed - Tweeters do not count as a speaker
Shine up your slingshot and get ready for a great time during the Slingshot Showdown.

Ride out immediately following Lighting competition
Lone Star Rally information: As mentioned last year. I am only passing along this info as it was told to me from Lone Star Rally. There will not be room for Slingshots to park on the strand. Slingshots can drive down the strand same as before. The owners of Lone Star Rally have told me this is a rule by the City of Galveston. However, there is paid parking nearby at 22nd and Harborside across from the Starbucks. Additionally, there is paid parking on seawall and parking in the Beach Central Parking garage next to Grand Galvez. You will need the Lone Star Rally day pass or full event pass if you want to drive your slingshot down the strand. They are $20 daily or $60 for full event.
