Fees: Campers $520 per camper ($556.72 with Eventbrite fees)

The Slide Ranch landscape provides an inspirational environment for them to explore and thrive, with a rich variety of ecosystems, from native plants and animals in the coastal scrub to the rocky intertidal zones of the coast. We also represent the edge where the wildlands meet human habitation and agriculture, with a herd of goats and sheep on pasture, bee hives, chickens and ducks, and an organic garden. These environments naturally inspire wonder, curiosity and myriad opportunities for learning, growth, and fun - all at our working ranch on the stunning Marin County coast.

Winter Camp is inspired by the greater-than-ever need to connect kids with nature and with the outdoors. For 52 years Slide Ranch has welcomed Bay Area youth and has been a cornerstone of Marin’s environmental conservation and education movement. We recognize that we have an important role to play as stewards of federally protected land, organic farmers and ranchers, and environmental educators. Now more than ever children need to be outdoors, for their mental, emotional and physical health, and we feel fortunate to be able to provide an inspirational place for them to explore and thrive.

Winter Break Camp is for children ages 5-11. This program will take place during February break, Tuesday 2/18-Friday 2/21 from 9:30am-3:00pm. There is no camp on Monday 2/17! Campers will spend the day outside, exploring the magnificent and fascinating landscape of Slide Ranch, under the guidance of a Slide Ranch Outdoor Instructor.

Youth that have volunteered as a JEE are welcome to join us as a Counselor in Training to support our Winter Break Camp. If interested - please .

Our approach is student-centered, and inquiry and project-based. Campers participate in hands-on activities: exploring the coastal scrub ecosystem of Slide Ranch trails and marine ecology at our amazing tide pools, interacting with farm animals and learning about their roles on the farm. The camp also includes organic gardening projects: sowing seeds, composting, harvesting and cooking.

Campers bring their own bagged lunch and snack each day.

We believe so much in the transformative power of camp that we are committed to ensuring that no child is denied an experience at Slide Ranch because of financial need. We’re here to help! Cancellation and Change Policy

Cancellations: You will be eligible for a full refund, minus a $100 processing fee, if your cancellation is made at least 8 weeks before the camp session start date.

Cancellations received between two and eight weeks prior to the start of camp WILL NOT be eligible for a refund unless a replacement is available to take your spot. If a replacement is found, we will offer a full refund minus a $150 processing fee. If a replacement is NOT found, you can receive a credit (minus a $150 processing fee) to be used towards another camp session - Spring 2025 or Summer 2025. If you are unable to attend any other week, you may use this credit towards 2026 Slide Ranch camps.

Slide Ranch does not offer refunds within 2 weeks of the start of a camp session.

Eventbrite's fee is non-refundable.

How to request a refund:  You can request a refund through your Eventbrite account up to 2 weeks prior to the program start date. In accordance with the above Cancellation and Change Policy, Slide Ranch will approve or decline your refund request within 5 business days.  If approved, you will be refunded to the original method of payment. Eventbrite will not allow refund requests within 2 weeks of the camp start date. Eventbrite’s fee is non-refundable.

Rescheduling Your Program:  If you would like to reschedule your program for a different session, you will need to cancel your existing registration and re-register for the session you would like to attend, provided there is still space available. More than eight weeks prior to the start of your camp session, a $100 processing fee will be charged. Between two and eight weeks prior to the start of camp, you can receive a credit (minus a $150 processing fee) to be used towards another camp session - Spring 2025 or Summer 2025. If you are unable to attend any other week, you may use this credit towards 2026 Slide Ranch camps. Within two weeks of the start of camp, no refunds are available.

If your child cannot complete a camp session (illness, etc.), no camp fees will be refunded.

If Slide Ranch closes camp for any full camp session due to unforeseen circumstances, credits for a future session will be available, minus an administrative fee of $50.

If Slide Ranch closes camp in the middle of a session due to unforeseen circumstances, prorated credits for a future day will be available minus an administrative fee of $50.
