In our utopian future, we believe in sustainability and keeping your prized rubber shining for years to come! Learn the essential skills to maintain your collection at our Rubber Repair workshop.
Ever wondered how to fix that minor tear or hole that appears on your beloved latex? This hands-on workshop will teach you the basics of rubber repair, equipping you with the knowledge to extend the life of your gear.
We'll cover the necessary chemicals, how to use them safely, and you'll get practical experience performing a basic repair on provided latex. Empower yourself to keep your rubber looking its best!
These sessions will be hosted by MRM19 and co-founder of Melbourne Rubber, Jason Pearce, who is one of the go-to people in the community for fixing some of the hardest repair jobs. His skills and knowledge around rubber have stemmed from many years guiding the Melbourne Rubber community to be its shiniest possible.
During this Slick workshop, Jason will be teaching you how to do basic repairs to your latex outfit and sharing his best tips on how to clean and maintain your latex for longevity.
Prior experience is not necessary.
The workshop will be approximately 1.5 hours duration.
Please note: Glue and solvents used in the repair of rubber can be noxious and/or overwhelming to first-timers. We strongly advise participants to wear face masks for this workshop.
