Follow the clues to Quincy Square this July for Sleuths — a celebration of detective fiction, brought to you by White Rabbit Book Co.
J.A. Jance headlines the afternoon. One of the Pacific Northwest's most beloved mystery writers, Jance is the author of multiple bestselling series — the J.P. Beaumont novels set in Seattle, the Joanna Brady books, and the Ali Reynolds series — with more than 80 titles spanning four decades. She's a PNW mystery institution, and we're thrilled to welcome her to Kitsap.
Alie Dumas-Heidt joins the lineup with her debut novel The Myth Maker (Crooked Lane Books), a Tacoma-set thriller following Detective Cassidy Cantwell as she hunts two killers — one from the present and one from her past. Dumas-Heidt lives in the Puget Sound area and drew on her years as a 911 operator and police dispatcher to bring the story to life. She'll be talking about her path from that first chapter written at 21 to a published debut.
