Would you like to experience singing traditional Slavic folk songs? These songs encourage both community building and individual expression. They can be performed by anyone, whether or not they consider themselves good at singing: all you need is a voice and a bit of curiosity.This event is open to people of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, gender identites, and ages 15+. The workshop will be held in English.
Bring a friend or come alone and learn some songs from Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and other Slavic languages speaking countries.
What do you need?
🏵️ Something to drink in a closed container (water, tea, etc.)
🏵️ A pen for making notes on printed lyrics
🏵️ Comfortable clothes that allow for some movement
🏵️ Warm socks are recommended
🏵️ If you wish, you can bring a pillow or a blanket to make yourself more cosy (chairs are available, but sitting on the floor is also welcome)

🏵️ Knowledge of songs
🏵️ Knowledge of Cyrillic
The payment for participating in this event is 200 NOK, and if you are a student or unemployed, then 150 NOK. If your financial situation is difficult and would prevent you from joining - reach out, we'll seek a solution.
There are limited spaces. Please reserve your spot by vippsing 200 or 150 NOK to 47308197. It is also possible to pay for example via Revolut. Drop-in participation might be possible if there are spaces left on the day of the event, but booking in advance is appreciated.

We will meet in Torshovloftet, which is located in the same building as Cosmopolite Scene. When you face the main entrance to Cosmopolite, go left (Kreb's gate) to the entrance under “Apson Thai Restaurant” sign. You can call me if you need help to get in (47308197). Note: there is no elevator available.
We start at 17:30, so please arrive a bit earlier to get settled.
