About this Event
A gentle, uplifting workshop for women and children exploring Slavic songs, voice, rhythm and connection. A supportive, child‑friendly session as part of the Make Share Heal programme.
This nurturing session invites you to reconnect with your voice through traditional Slavic melodies, simple movement and calming sound practices. Inspired by folk traditions, music and collective expression, the workshop offers a safe, welcoming space to release tension, build confidence and feel connected.
Through singing, listening and creating sound together, you’ll experience how voice and rhythm can support emotional wellbeing, grounding and joy.
What to expect:
Slavic Songs & Collective Singing
Learn simple, traditional Slavic songs rooted in nature, seasons and community. No singing experience needed — the focus is on expression, not perfection.
Movement & Gentle Dance
Explore light, joyful movement inspired by folk dance. A relaxed way to connect with your body, rhythm and others in the group.
Sound & Slavic Mantras
Experience repetitive vocal sounds, chants and affirmations inspired by Slavic traditions. These simple practices help calm the mind, release stress and create a sense of inner balance.
Affirmations & Inner Voice
Use voice as a tool to strengthen self‑confidence and kindness towards yourself. Gentle guidance to help you connect with your inner voice in a supportive way.
Live Instruments & Rhythm
Explore sound using simple instruments such as guitar, bębenek (hand drum) and bells (dzwonki). Feel vibration and rhythm as grounding, soothing tools.
Listening & Deep Relaxation
A calming moment of listening to sound and vibration, allowing your body and mind to soften and settle.
Connection & Sharing
Optional, relaxed space to share your experience and connect with others in a safe, supportive environment.

Part of the Make Share Heal programme
This session is part of Make Share Heal — a 12‑month wellbeing programme supporting women aged 18–49. The programme focuses on improving emotional wellbeing, reducing isolation and building resilience through creative, shared experiences.
We warmly welcome migrant women, including those from Ukraine, Poland and Central & Eastern Europe, alongside local women seeking connection, support and community.
Optional one‑to‑one support and signposting to local services (housing, employment, mental health and childcare) are available. Multilingual support is offered.

The workshop is facilitated by Monika Lenard, an experienced women’s group leader with over 20 years of practice in creating safe, trauma‑informed spaces for connection, creativity and personal growth.
