❄️ FROST! ❄️SLAC invites you to submit to our next upcoming art exhibition, “FROST”, at the Sip Coffee House & Artisan Café in Crown Point, Indiana! 🧊
This art show, our first for 2025, is all about exploring the magic, mystery, and beauty of Frost—the delicate crystals, the icy blues, the sparkle of snow in the sunlight, the chill of winter mornings….SO MUCH IN THE WORLD CAN BE FROSTY!!! ❄️ Show us your shimmering icicles…your frostbitten landscapes…your frosty blues and whites! 🌬️
We’re looking for pieces that highlight the ways frost can evoke emotion, tell stories, or create an aura. ✨
Whether your work captures the crispness of winter air, the intricate patterns of frost on a windowpane, or even the deeper, symbolic meanings of frost—like stillness, resilience, or maybe some floaty fleeting beauty—we want to see your unique take. 🌌
So get yourself out there and create something FROSTY! ❄️
Think about it—this call is an opportunity to play around and experiment with how frost-inspired tones interact with other colors, shapes, and forms. So let this be your inspiration to try something new and get out there and Art!❄️
Abstract, realistic, or somewhere in between, we encourage it all!
We’re particularly interested in how you can use frost to evoke a mood or maybe even highlight an important theme in your work, but just show us what you’ve got!❄️

Please enter your titles and mediums exactly as you wish to see them on the tag.
TWO: Sending JPG images of each piece along with the TITLE OF ARTWORK and an ARTIST’S STATEMENT briefly explaining your frosty submission to [email protected] with “FROST” in the subject line by TUESDAY, JANUARY 21ST, 2025, BY OR BEFORE 11:59 PM.
Please name the JPGs in a manner that we can line up the piece with the title. We need to know what piece goes with what tag. ❄️
You will receive a notification through email for any pieces accepted by the latest, end of day, Wednesday, January 22nd.
There are no mandatory submission or commission fees for your work. 🧊
Due to space restrictions, we cannot accept pieces larger than 39 inches, nor can we accept sculptures or pieces that cannot be securely mounted on the wall.
💙 Art Drop-Off Details
Due to Sip's limited size and inability to receive and store our art, we have a designated art drop-off time, which will be Sunday, JANUARY 26TH from 3-6 PM.
All artwork accepted must be dropped off and signed in with the SLAC group by the attending administrators or artists present, not the baristas working at the Sip (unless prior arrangements have been made with both the administrators and shop owner).
The coffee shop has outside art displayed throughout, and the baristas are not responsible for differentiating between SLAC artwork and other art for sale at the venue. This ensures proper organization and prevents mix-ups. Please plan accordingly!
All pieces must be PROPERLY FRAMED and PROPERLY WIRED (NO sawtooth hangers), or we will NOT hang them, no exceptions. No wiring may take place inside the venue unless it is one of the exhibit coordinators. All wiring must be done prior to drop-off. If the artwork arrives in any condition not stated in the submission process, the piece may not be hung.
Please ensure that all pieces remain hung for the entirety of the show unless arrangements have been made with a show administrator beforehand.
To help keep your artwork organized and assist with sales, attach a TAG with your name, price, email and/or contact information, and the title on the back of the frame. Thanks, everyone!
