The Akron K9 Frisbee Club is proud to host a Skyhoundz Classic Open Qualifier for the 2026 Hyperflite Skyhoundz World Canine Disc Championship in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Skyhoundz Classics are open to anyone, we encourage disc doggers from anywhere to come compete -- League member or not.
LOCATION – The Akron K9 Frisbee Club Field in Silver Lake:

This event will also serve as the final week of League play for the Akron Club during the Spring 2026 Season.
If you're a League player from another Club and you attend the Classic, your Sport D/A score can also be used as your Week 5 League score.

Online Preregistration Fees, (preregistration closes Friday, May 15:

• Sport (Distance & Accuracy) classes – $25

Walk-up Registration Fees (available 8:30 – 9:30 AM the morning of the event)

NOTE: League Fees for Akron Club League who play in the Spring Season of the K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch League will be applied to the Skyhoundz Classic Open Qualifier. See your Captain for details.

The top-scoring teams at the Silver Lake Skyhoundz Classic Qualifier earn invitations to the Skyhoundz Classic World Canine Disc Championship.
The number of Qualifying Spots (Q’s) available per Division/Class for the 2025 World Championship in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Saturday on September 20 and 21 is as follows:
2Q’s: MicroDog Open Division (Freestyle & Distance/Accuracy combined)
2Q’s: MicroDog Sport Division (Distance/Accuracy only)
3Q’s: Open Division (Freestyle & Distance/Accuracy combined)
2Q’s: Pairs Freestyle Divison (One Freestyle round only)
3Q’s: Sport Division (Distance/Accuracy only)
2Q’s: Youth Division (Freestyle & Distance/Accuracy combined
Youth Division competitors must be 15 years of age or younger as of December 31st of the year in which they are competing in the Youth Division.
NOTE: All Skyhoundz competition competitors are required to use genuine Hyperflite discs.

8:00 am: Park gates between the baseball diamond and tennis courts will open at 8:00 am.
8:30 – 9:30 am: Walk-up registration.
9:46 am: Player’s meeting.
10:00 am: Competition begins, with events in the following order:

2. Sport Division — Distance/Accuracy Elimination Round
3. Youth Division — Freestyle Elimination RoundMicroDog
