Skye Bridge 30th Anniversary Event Saturday 11th October 2025
11am–5pm at Kyleakin Hall
Free drop in event.
Come and remember this time in local history - before and after the bridge, which brought a huge change to local life.
Discover the story of the bridge, the Kyle–Kyleakin ferries that came before it, and the last ferry sailing.
Happening on the day:
- Photographic exhibition: rare photos and video footage of the Skye Bridge, including lots of photos of local people, the last ferry sailing, protests, SKAT, and photos/videos from Miller Dywidag - the company that built the bridge
-Memorabilia, signs, and more
- CalMac exhibit
- Skye Bridge models
- MacBraynes bus models
-Skye and Lochalsh Archive Center display
Also on during the event:
-Live local music
-Tea, cake, soup & sandwiches
-Kids’ activities & raffle
Free and open to all - drop in anytime between 11am–5pm and have a walk around on Saturday 11th October 2025.
