Sky Stage Jazz Fest

Stroll the Frederick Festival of the Arts booths along Carroll Creek linear park, open from 10am-5pm, then grab a bite and head over to Sky Stage one block south of the Creek for some live music under the stars!

Bass clarinetist Todd Marcus' straight-ahead playing has carved out a unique voice for the instrument in modern jazz. His music swings hard with both a fiery and introspective intensity while maintaining a strong lyrical sensibility, and is influenced by his Eygtian heritage. The New York Times writes, “Mr. Marcus is probably the most inventive bass clarinetist working in straight-ahead jazz today…[and] lives in Baltimore, where he is a guiding light on the city’s jazz scene..." Marcus presents a full program featuring his ensemble of special guest players.

Tickets $20 online, $25 at the door. Doors 7pm.
