SKS ART with Craft Action & Hammer and Stain

So Kids SOAR will partner with Craft Action & and Hammer and Stain, to create a fun art workshop.

WHAT: So Kids SOAR will be bringing together youth with physical and developmental disabilities, their families, and volunteers for a morning of creativity. We will be making paper collages led by Craft Action and a paint activity led by SKS Ambassador Nicole "Barnie" Barnhart!

WHO: This event is open to youth and young adults from ages 8 to 30 with disabilities of any type.

Participants- This clinic is open to youth, ages 8 to 30, with physical and developmental disabilities - their siblings are welcome too! No previous experience is required. Instructors and equipment will be provided for all participants. Just show up and SKS will take care of the rest!

Volunteers- Must be at least age 15 or over and have been a previous So Kids SOAR volunteer; those who register who are not first-time volunteers must email Glenda Fu at [email protected] first. Volunteers - please note that there will be no area for your belongings, please keep your important items with you at all times or leave them locked in the car. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or missing items.

WHEN: Saturday, January 10th, 2026 from 10AM - 12:00PM EST.

About Nicole "Barnie" Barnhart: Barnie has played professionally for close to 20 years, including teams in the WPS: FC Gold Pride, Philadelphia Independence and NWSL: FC Kansas City, Utah Royals, KC Current, Washington Spirit. She played collegiately at Stanford where she is now a Hall of Fame Inductee and later went on to represent the USWNT for 10+ years, including at two world cups and two Olympics (2 gold medals).

So Kids SOAR se asociará con Craft Action y Hammer & Stain para crear un divertido taller de arte.

QUÉ: So Kids SOAR reunirá a jóvenes con discapacidades físicas y del desarrollo, junto con sus familias y voluntarios, para una mañana llena de creatividad. Crearemos collages de papel dirigidos por Craft Action y una actividad de pintura guiada por la embajadora de SKS, Nicole “Barnie” Barnhart.

QUIÉN: Este evento está abierto a jóvenes y adultos jóvenes de entre 8 y 30 años con cualquier tipo de discapacidad.

Participantes: Este taller está abierto a jóvenes de 8 a 30 años con discapacidades físicas y del desarrollo; ¡sus hermanos también son bienvenidos! No se requiere experiencia previa. Se proporcionarán instructores y materiales para todos los participantes. Solo tienes que venir—¡So Kids SOAR se encargará del resto!
