🪘 SKIP-A-BEAT – Community Drumming 🪘
After another wonderful evening of shared rhythm, creativity and community, I'm looking forward to welcoming everyone back for our next gathering.
It's been a joy to see Skip-A-Beat continuing to grow, with familiar faces returning each month and new people discovering the circle. Whether you're joining us for the first time or coming back again, you'll find a warm welcome waiting for you.
Join us for an uplifting evening of Community Drumming, inspired by the rich traditions of West African rhythms.
Whether you've never touched a drum before or have years of experience, you'll find a warm and welcoming space where everyone can join in at their own pace. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary.
The first part of the evening is spent drumming together in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. After a short break, those who wish to stay are invited to join an optional drum circle, where the rhythm becomes a shared conversation and everyone is encouraged to bring something of themselves to the music.
If a 9:45pm finish feels too late, you're very welcome to head home after the break. Wellbeing is at the heart of these evenings, so please do whatever feels right for you.
These gatherings are about much more than learning rhythms. They're an opportunity to connect, listen, create, laugh and experience the joy of making music together.
