Alex Henckel (Skinny) was a legend! His genuine love and concern for others was unmatched, as was his quick smile and fun-loving personality. Everyone who knew him has a classic "Skinny" story. We want to gather together at this golf outing, share those memories and at the same time, raise some money to help support his family: His wife, Ashley, and his sons Landen(9) and Lincoln(4).
Ashley will use the money to pay for some needed repairs on their house, save some for the boys' future and as a cushion for life's unexpected expenses.
When Alex knew that his condition was terminal, he said that he wasn't afraid to die, but he WAS afraid to leave his family without him to provide for them. We promised him that he didn't have to worry about that. The funds we raise through this golf outing is one way that we keep that promise and allow his friends and extended family to help us do that.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who donates or volunteers. We know that Alex would be, too!
