Skill Clinics 101: Media Editing

Date & Time: November 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM (Eastern Time)

Venue: 94 Green St

The Arts Action Consortium’s Skill Clinics are a series of accessible, hands-on workshops created for Boston artists who want to build the practical skills that support their creative work and careers. The clinics focus on the everyday tools that can make an artist more independent, confident, and sustainable—from shaping how your work is presented to understanding how your money moves.

Across Media Editing, Artist Statements, Website Building, and Budgeting & Budget Tracking, artists will learn foundational skills they can immediately put into practice. The goal isn’t to turn artists into professional marketers, web designers, or accountants. It’s to demystify the systems surrounding an artistic career and make sure artists have enough knowledge to participate in those systems on their own terms.

Each session includes a lecture or demonstration in one key skill, followed by work time to work on your own materials and receive real time feedback from experts.

Join us for an exciting in-person skill clinic led by Vim Mawilmada designed to empower artists! This workshop will provide you with the basic tools needed to confidently and easily edit and create reels, videos, and photos. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your media editing skills, this clinic is the perfect opportunity to learn, practice, and elevate your creative projects with expert guidance. Don’t miss out on gaining the confidence to bring your artistic vision to life!
