Whether you have no experience or are a seasoned artist, this hands-on workshop will connect you to your inner artist and to the places you know and love! Come celebrate the centennial of the very first Winter Olympics by Lake Placid’s vibrant, historic winter sports, civic architecture, and its bustling, scenic streetscapes! Through this two-day workshop, participants will learn how to hone their observations to capture the details, scale, and special features present in the historic buildings across our region through sketching.
The fee is $75 per person and $60 for Young Preservationists (35 and under). Cost includes all materials and lunch on Saturday is included. This event requires pre-registration and is first come, first served - register by emailing AARCH or calling 518-834-9328.
The Friday, September 13 introductory class starts at 1 PM and ends at 4 PM, and the Saturday, September 14 hands-on workshop begins at 10 AM and ends around 4 PM.
This workshop is led by architect and AARCH board member, JB Clancy. This event is co-sponsored by our colleagues and friends at the Lake Placid Olympic Museum.
