Sketchbook Showoff is a free come and go event for artists that wish to find community, network, gain local exposure and niche connections in their local town (Nacogdoches).

Open to anyone free on this particular day to come to Java Jacks - upstairs and have the opportunity to be surrounded by others with the same passion for art.
OBSERVER: You can come to look at all art as it would be treated as an art gallery. There would be no selling at this event, it is purely for the appreciation of art and its process.
ARTIST: You can bring a sketchbook, paintings or anything you’d like, set it down anywhere and watch from afar or stick around. You can add your handle to the art or sketchbook, or remain anonymous. I am hoping for a Follow-for-Follow situation.
OTHER: If you are not there to put up any art as an artist please use this as an excuse to end procrastination and create as you’re surrounded by those who love what you do. Body double if need be.
or don’t! larping is welcomed too. We love to see that macbook being used to read your AO3 fic :)) (quite literally me)
The event will be from 10:30AM - 2:00PM - I will be hosting and arranging everything necessary but for the most part this will be a very introvert friendly event.
I honestly just want an excuse to draw, network and meet other artists and art enjoyers too.
it’s in OCTOBER so you have time to lock-in on your art 🤞🤞
