A historic 1903 mansion that was once the home of Jacob and Martha Van Orden Mr. Van Orden ran the bank used by the Ringling Brothers and he built the home to keep up with four of the Ringling brothers who had constructed homes in town a few years earlier. The mansion was designed by Ferry & Clas of Milwaukee. Purchased by the Sauk County Historical Society in 1938, the house retains much of its original charm including woodwork, wallcoverings and light fixtures. The original kitchen, cook’s pantry, and butler’s pantry are also still intact.
