One of them’s mouthy, one of them’s broad—and both of them are funny as f*ck.After their debut at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe, international comedian Nadine Froughi and two-time Funny Women semi-finalist Emily Higgson bring their powerhouse stand-up special on tour.
Integrating character, sketch, and song, "Mouthy Broads" offers a fresh take on the stand-up format dominating Europe’s comedy scene.
Tickets cost €15 in advance €25 on the door.
About the artists
Emily Higgson is an American stand-up and sketch comic with a knack for turning everyday weirdness into onstage weirdness. Featured performer at Boom Chicago and two-time Funny Women Award semifinalist, Emily is staple of the European comedy scene, friends have described Emily as “kind of funny” and “average height”. Emily has described herself as “extremely funny” and “very tall”.
Nadine Froughi is a stand-up comedian. Half Iranian, half American, raised in the UK but now mostly Dutch, her comedy combines stand-up with music and visuals for a comedy experience her mother described as 'fabulous.' Featured on NTR's Ramadan Bites and two-time English Comedy Talent Award finalist, Nadine is based in Amsterdam. Aside from telling jokes, she makes a really good shallot pasta and can deadlift over 100kg on a good day.
This event is organised in collaboration with Festrogen Festival, a platform that aims to inspire and support women in comedy while levelling the playing field for performers from under-represented groups.
The festival is organised with the support of the Luxembourg Culture Ministry.
