Skate Skills & Derby Basics Course

Get ready to learn something a little more challenging lots more fun and very rewarding in the long run.

Come along this January and learn the skills to roller skate and the basics of Roller Derby. Suitable for those with no experience at all and those returning to skates and wanting a refresher this is the place to be. A chilled fun environment ready to work at your pace and comfort.

Exeter Roller Derby is an inclusive sports club where you will be respected and looked after. Our adult sessions are suitable from 16 years but we have no upper age limit as you are only as old as you feel and we believe everyone is young at heart!

What To Expect:

-A relaxed & friendly welcoming group with mixture of genders and ages.

-Safety gear check and falling safely and avoidance

-Skills & Techniques explanations of body positioning muscle groups and effects of them in Roller Derby

-Group work and learning the basics of derby.

Not Sure about the Derby bit? Don't be. We don't expect you to be an expert soon as you put your skates on. There are steps in place to make sure you are ready.

Where:

Mondays 8-10pm at St Lukes CoE School EX1 3RD

Wednesday 7.30-9.30pm at St James School EX4 8NN
