Looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon in the ENDLESS SUMMER of 2026???

Why not join us for a leisurely SKATING TOUR of Santa Monica Beach, Santa Monica Beach Pier, South Beach, Sorrento Beach, Ginger Rogers/Will Rogers Beaches!!!

ITINERARY:

Meeting location and time:

Meeting time: 3:30 PM PST

Please meet at the Soda Jerks Ice Cream Shop at Santa Monica Pier located at:

Some attendees may be running late, so we can wait 15-20 minutes for those that may be running late.

The members may chat, mingle, socialize, and get to know each other better.

Activities:

Santa Monica Pier Beach Skating Tour

We set out on SKATES (Rollerblades or Rollerskates) from the meeting point at Soda Jerks Ice Cream Shop at Santa Monica Pier and tour around the Santa Monica Pier along the beach to begin the SKATING Tour.

Then we proceed on SKATES to the Ocean Front Walk path to begin the second activity.

Santa Monica Pier to South Beach Park

We skate south on the Ocean Front Walk path towards South Beach Park.

The group SKATES to Crescent Bay Park, Barnard Way Linear Park, Dorothy Green Park, and finally to South Beach Park.

We can stop anytime to rest and recover from the rigors of skating.

The group may observe the activities along Santa Monica Beach, absorb the magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and coastal mountains, review the architecture of the myriad buildings along Santa Monica Beach, socialize, mingle, and get to know each other better.

Then the SKATING group may proceed north towards the Santa Monica Pier for the third activity.

Santa Monica Beach Pier to Ginger/Will Rogers Beaches:

After the skate group tours along the beach to the south of Santa Monica Beach Pier, we skate back to the starting point at Santa Monica Beach Pier.

We reach the Santa Monica Beach Pier where the group can rest, have some water, a snack, and continue to chat, mingle, and socialize.

We skate north to the following beaches from the Santa Monica Beach Pier along the Ocean Front Walk path:

Sorrento Beach

Ginger Rogers Beach

Will Rogers Beach

The group can observe the magnificent Pacific Ocean and stunning coastal views of the beach and the mountains ON SKATES!!!

We reach the Will Rogers Beach where the group can rest, have some water, a snack, and continue to chat, mingle, and socialize.

Then we skate back along the Ocean Front Walk path from Will Rogers Beach to the Santa Monica Beach Pier.

The group may reflect on the Santa Monica Beach Skating Tour to discuss the natural beauty of the coastal areas and the entertaining, festival-like atmosphere of the Santa Monica Beach Pier.

Please bring enough water for approximately a 2 - 3 mile LEVEL SKATE along the Ocean Front Walk path and some snack items to consume during the skating event.

This skating event is not meant to exhaust the attendees; it is just a light, easy, level skate to enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean, the views of the coast, the mountains, and review the architecture of the buildings along the coast, get some exercise, mingle, socialize, and get to know the other members.

There is FREE PARKING on the side streets in the vicinity of Santa Monica Beach Pier, such as California Ave., Washington Ave., and Idaho Ave near Ocean Ave.

It is ok if you are running late.
