Skate Across America Returns to York Before Continuing Historic Journey to California
York, PA – Building Bridges for Brianna and Skate Across America are proud to announce that Matthew Snow will return to York, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 25, as he continues his incredible cross-country journey from the East Coast to California to raise awareness for mental health, suicide prevention, and burn survivors.
After beginning his journey in New Jersey, Matthew will arrive in York for a special homecoming before continuing west across the United States.
The community is invited to welcome Matthew along his route:
9:30 a.m. – Arrival at the intersection of E. Market Street and Silver Spur Drive
12:00 p.m. (Noon) – Arrival in Downtown York at Continental Square
Supporters, community members, local organizations, and the media are encouraged to come out, cheer Matthew on, and help send him off as he continues this inspiring mission.
Following his arrival, Matthew will spend the evening in York to rest and recover before pushing off once again on the morning of Sunday, July 26, continuing his journey west toward California. Details of evening agenda is TBD as we want to send Matthew off with a good meal.
"Every mile represents hope," said Matthew Snow. "This journey is about reminding people that they are never alone and that together we can make a difference for those struggling with mental health challenges and those recovering from life-changing burn injuries."
Building Bridges for Brianna is honored to partner with Skate Across America in bringing awareness to mental health, encouraging conversations about suicide prevention, and inspiring communities across the country to stand together in support of one another.
