Upstairs at Dead Witch, Waiheke’s own Dub Penguins deliver a full-throttle Sublime tribute, plus covers of Rancid, No Doubt, and Operation Ivy. It’s two hours of live heat that’ll have you skanking, swaying, and shouting every word like it’s 1997.Downstairs, DJs Drew Bang & guests keep the pit bouncing with ska punk anthems and scene essentials. From horn hits to punk riffs, it’s a sonic time machine built for rude boys, rude girls, and anyone who ever moshed in a checkerboard shirt.
This night is for the lifers and the late bloomers. For anyone who ever burned a mix CD with “Time Bomb” and “Santeria” back to back. For the ones who still remember the first time a horn section made them dance. For the ones who never stopped.
