🌿🤝 San Jac Garden + Texas A&M Galveston Big Event Workday 🤝🌿Hello SanJac Garden Enthusiasts!
We’re excited to share that we’ve been invited to participate in Texas A&M’s Big Event again this March — and we would love your help! We had great success working with the A&M students last year, and we’re looking forward to partnering with them again.
📅 Saturday, March 21
🕙 Morning Shift: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🕐 Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
📍 San Jac Community Garden
We have several large projects where student volunteers can make a big impact:
🌿 Placing donated pavers in garden pathways
🌿 Replacing wooden garden borders (with wood generously offered by Home Depot!)
🌿 Pruning trees and bushes
🌿 Weeding and general garden cleanup
Kay Sandor will be serving as the site coordinator for the day and will need gardeners and SanJac members to help supervise small groups of 2–4 students. Even volunteering for one shift would be incredibly helpful!
