Six Word Live Presents: Stories of Building Change from the Ground Up

"Movement Makers: Stories of Building Change from the Ground Up."

The evening will feature influential and inspiring leaders whose work is reshaping culture, challenging the status quo, and creating systemic change. Six storytellers will each begin with a Six-Word Memoir inspired by the show's theme and then unfold the fuller story behind it in 6–8 minutes.

Storytellers include Jack Boulware (co-founder, Litquake), Kimberly Bryant (founder, Black Girls CODE), Makenzie Darling (founder, Movement Maker), Megan Rohrer (first openly transgender minister ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), Larry Norris (co-founder, Decriminalize Nature), and Manny Yekutiel (Manny's founder and civic advocate).

Before intermission, it's your turn: a Six-Word Slam, where everyone in the audience is invited to share their own six-word take on the evening's theme. One audience member will then be invited onstage to tell the story behind their six words.
