The SIUE School of Nursing is proud to launch a new tradition dedicated to promoting mental wellness, strengthening our community, and preparing the next generation of compassionate healthcare professionals. Join us for the inaugural Walk for Wellness on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Centennial Pavilion in Bolm-Schuhkraft Park in Columbia, Illinois.

Mental health challenges touch every family, workplace, and community. As the demand for skilled mental health professionals continues to grow, the SIUE School of Nursing is committed to preparing nurses who will lead with knowledge, compassion, and advocacy. Your participation helps ensure our students have the educational opportunities and experiences needed to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.

All registration fees and sponsorships directly support the endowment principal of the Mary Ann Boyd Mental Health Nursing Endowment. Established by Professor Emerita Dr. Mary Ann Boyd, whose career transformed psychiatric-mental health nursing education and inspired generations of nurses, the endowment provides lasting support for innovative educational opportunities, student experiences, faculty initiatives, and programs that prepare future nurses to deliver exceptional mental health care while reducing stigma and improving access to care.
