SIU Alumni 2026 Homecoming Tailgate

It's time to celebrate 75 years of the Dawg! The SIU Alumni Association and the Carbondale in the '80s and '90s Group are hosting their annual Homecoming Tailgate, three hours before the kickoff of the SIU vs Illinois State football game on Saturday, October 17.
This will be THE PLACE to share your Saluki pride and enjoy some quality time with fellow alumni, as the university celebrates the 75th anniversary of SIU adopting the Saluki as its mascot.
Ticket prices are $40 per person ($25 for individuals 21 and under). Prices include a game ticket, a meal from 17th Street BBQ, beer, soft drinks, and giveaways from the Association. You also have the option to purchase a table for your party for $80 (tables are limited).
Enjoy live music from Modern Day Saints, who will be performing inside Saluki Row.
We'll also host a silent auction, where you'll have a chance to bid on Saluki sports memorabilia and spirit baskets. Proceeds go to support Association programs and scholarships.
Finally, we'll have games and activities for all ages, so bring the whole family along for a day of Saluki pride.
Please remember to bring a photo ID with you to be served alcohol.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you purchase your ticket after 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, we will not be able to provide you with a game ticket. For those who purchased before the deadline, you will be able to pick up game tickets at the tailgate. Tickets are for bleacher seats in Saluki Stadium on the home side.
The SIU vs Illinois State will be televised by ESPN. Kickoff time will not be announced until two weeks before the game. Those who have registered will be notified about the start time of the tailgate and game then.
